About Me

I always have a phrase in mind that pushes me through the challenges I inevitably face in life: “Momentum over motivation.” This line, which I constantly remind myself of, reinforces my values of consistency and accountability. The approach I always take is to challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone, supporting my learning and my ability to adapt in any circumstance through a mindset of continuing regardless of challenges and focusing on adjustment when changes arise. I am therefore truly drawn to boarding schools, where I can pursue my greatest interests while developing new skills, genuinely beginning to build this “momentum.” 

 

I am a never-ending cycle, setting consistency and time management as the keys to developing myself further. I am always motivated to create routines that support me in maintaining specific goals and achievements, as well as placing myself in environments that can authentically shape who I am through the everyday choices I make. Living and learning in an environment defined by responsibility, discipline, and discussion will confidently accelerate my opportunities for meaningful life experiences. Ultimately, the best fit for me, Gaeun Erica Ma, is a community that values accountability, effort, and long-term skills within a boarding school environment.
